!settitle

Overview

The !settitle command allows streamers and moderators to change the title of the current Twitch stream directly from chat. This command helps keep viewers informed about the stream's content without leaving the streaming software.

Important: By default, only users with Moderator permission level or higher can use this command.

Usage

To set the stream title:

!settitle <new_title>

Parameters

  • <new_title> (Required): The new title for the stream. This can be any text up to Twitch's character limit for stream titles.

Configuration

  • This command requires the StreamElements bot to have permission to modify channel information (typically granted during initial bot setup).
  • The command's permission level can be adjusted under Chatbot -> Chat Commands -> Default Commands.
  • !setgame: Changes the current game/category of the stream.
  • !uptime: Displays how long the stream has been live.
