Charity Streams

StreamElements integrates with two fundraising platforms — Tiltify and DonorDrive — so donations to your campaign can trigger stream alerts and update a goal widget, the same as a regular tip.

Tiltify

1. Create an account at Tiltify: Sign Up → Fundraiser/Donor → Connect with Twitch → Authorize, then fill in your details.
2. Verify your email, then go to your dashboard and select Become a Fundraiser.
3. Go to Campaigns and create one — choose your charity, campaign type, name and URL slug, start/end dates, and fundraising goal.
4. Once everything looks right, click Publish to make the campaign live.

Tip

If you have a manager or partner who needs campaign access, create your Tiltify account with an email login rather than a social login — it’s easier to share access that way.

Connect it to StreamElements: you can use the Tiltify API directly, or integrate with StreamElements to trigger stream notifications from Tiltify donations, or reuse your existing tip alerts for them. See Tiltify’s StreamElements integration docs for setup.

Add a donation overlay: from your Tiltify campaign dashboard, go to Overlays and select the overlay URL you want to use for your progress bar.

Add the Tiltify Twitch extension so viewers can donate without leaving your channel:

1. Go to your Twitch Extensions page and search for Tiltify.
2. Click Install, then Configure.
3. Log in to Tiltify and authorize the extension.
4. Select your campaign from the dropdown, save, and activate the extension.

DonorDrive

DonorDrive supports peer-to-peer fundraising events (ExtraLife, StackUP, and others) with live streaming and donation tracking built in.

Set up your campaign

1. Sign up and choose a charity at DonorDrive’s charity streaming page, then register for a campaign. You’ll get links to your fundraising page and an on-screen donation overlay.
2. In StreamElements, open your Channel Settings → Integrations tab and click Connect next to DonorDrive.
3. Search for and select your charity, then enter your DonorDrive Participant ID (found on your DonorDrive dashboard — you can update it later if needed).

Add alerts and a donation tracker

1. In My Overlays, create a new overlay (1080p recommended) or reuse an existing one.
2. Under Charity & Seasonal → Charity, add the DonorDrive Donation AlertBox.
3. Customize its animation, sound, volume, and message — use DonorDrive’s variables ({displayName}, {amount}, {programName}, {message}) in the message text.
4. Save the overlay, then preview the alert using the emulator to confirm it looks right.
5. Add the overlay to OBS as usual. If you added the widgets to an existing overlay’s browser source, just refresh it if they don’t appear right away.

Update your campaign later

To switch to a different charity or cause: go to Channel Settings → Integrations → DonorDrive, click Update, select the new charity, update your Participant ID if needed, and save.
