Create Your Account

  1. Log in to your Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or TikTok account.
  2. Go to streamelements.com and connect with that account, authorizing access.
  3. You’ll land on your new dashboard.

Your dashboard and Activity Feed only populate from events going forward — while your existing totals (followers, subscribers) show up right away, individual past events won’t backfill.

The top bar of your dashboard walks you through initial setup. Click Continue to start the wizard.

Clicking Activate adds the bot to your channel and grants it moderator permissions. Check your chat’s user list to confirm — it can take a few minutes to show up under Moderators.

  1. Enter your PayPal email and click Connect (see Tipping for SE.Pay and other options).
  2. Download one of the suggested tipping panels and copy your tipping page link.
  3. On Twitch, toggle on Edit Panels, add a text/image panel, upload the panel image, and paste your tipping link.
  4. Toggle Edit Panels back off and click the new panel to confirm it opens your tipping page.
  5. Back in the setup wizard, click Continue on the Tipping Panel Settings step.

Choose one:

  • Create — opens the Overlay Editor to build one from scratch.
  • Pick — opens the Themes Gallery to start from a preset.
  • Import — brings in overlays you already have on another platform.

For now, pick Create, keep the resolution at 1080p, and click Start. Save your overlay once you’re happy with it, then return to the setup wizard.

The last step downloads and installs SE.Live in OBS. See Install and connect for the full walkthrough.

Once you click Download, initial setup is complete.

Does this work the same on every platform? The wizard is shown for Twitch here, but the same four steps — account, tipping, overlay, SE.Live — apply on YouTube and Kick too, even though which features are available afterward can differ per platform.
