Overlays changelog

New updates and improvements at StreamElements.

YouTube super stickers and Jewels

YouTube channels connected to StreamElements now get two more paid event types.

  • Super stickers. Count as super chats, with the same amount, currency conversion and session totals. The sticker’s caption is the message.
  • Jewels. Jewels gifts are a new event type. The amount is the number of Jewels. They show in the activity feed and on the dashboard home page stats and events chart.

Accurate Kick subscriber totals

Kick subscriber totals in the dashboard and overlay session data now refresh from Kick’s active subscriber count, including gifted subscriptions.

Previously, the total kept increasing with subscription events, including renewals, without correcting for expired subscriptions. This could leave StreamElements showing more subscribers than your Kick dashboard.

KICKs support for Kick channels

Kick channels connected to StreamElements now get the full treatment for KICKs, Kick’s paid gifts.

  • Activity feed. KICKs gifts appear as their own event type, with a filter and a minimum amount setting.
  • Alert box. A new KICKs alert for Kick channels, with {name}, {amount} and {message} variables and amount-based variations, including “Session top”.
  • Overlay widgets. A KICKs family under the new KICKs category: latest gift, total, recent gifts, top gift, top gifter, top gifters list, session amount and a KICKs goal.
  • Custom widgets. New kicks-* session data keys and a kicks-latest listener, shaped like the Twitch cheer keys.
  • Chat alerts. The chatbot can announce KICKs gifts in chat, with amount-tiered messages.
  • Dashboard. KICKs totals on the home page stats and events chart.

Channels that connected before today are being resubscribed to the new Kick event in the background. If your channel does not receive KICKs events, log in to StreamElements again and it will pick them up.
